HWC Summer Picnic

On Monday, June 13^th the Women’s Club gathered for our annual picnic held at member Margaret Bower’s lovely home. After a short meeting, Margaret was presented with a Humanitarian Award from the Club for her organizing and holding of a Ukrainian Medical Relief Fundraiser in April. Margaret raised over $16,000 and exemplified what Women’s Clubs stand for. After a delicious potluck luncheon we gathered for a lively Quarter Auction. Members brought items from home and bids were placed in 25 cent increments. Our final two items were highly sought after paintings done by our own Esther Godek. Such an enjoyable way to start off our summer!
