Mission: To promote social and educational culture among its members and to provide service to the community.
The Hopkinton Women’s Club was organized in 1920 and we were admitted to the Women’s Club State Federation in 1920 and to the Women’s Club General Federation in 1926.
Our primary fund raising project is the compilation, publication and distribution of the annual Hopkinton Community Register and Telephone Directory. We raise money by soliciting advertisers for the Directory. Profits are donated to the community through scholarships and awards at the high school and middle school and to numerous charitable organization in the community through Project HOPE (Hopkinton Organization for Positive Endeavors). General Meetings are normally the second Monday of the Month From September to June. Meetings start at 10:00am with a breakfast social, followed by the general meeting from 10:30 – 11 and a program from 11 – 12. Examples of programs in 2018/2019 incude: Styling event at Talbot’s, a discussion on cancer genes and hereditary factors, flower arranging, Chinese/Indian calligraphy, and spring gardening ideas.
The organization is run by the Board of Directors and Committees. Board meetings are normally the first Monday of the Month. Committees meet as needed. Link to committee list
Annual membership fees are $35, or one half if joining between January 1st and March 31st. Link here information on how to join.
In addition to the monthly general meeting, the Club organizes monthly social events to museums, movies, Garden Club events and other places of interest. Members often enjoy a casual lunch after the event.
