HWC ANNUAL SPRING AWARDS LUNCHEON APRIL 24, 2024

Incoming President Cris Bright (l) accepts the gavel from outgoing President Doris Early (r) at the HWC Annual Spring Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Hopkinton Country Club. The HWC is excited for this new leadership and wishes Cris and her Vice President Jo Ann Thompson a very successful two year term.

The HWC congratulates our $1000 Mary MacDonough Community Service Award winner, Eva Bennet. Eva was recognized for her commitment to improving her community through her work with the Hopkinton Youth Commission, Hopkinton Organizing for Prevention Youth Advisory Team, MetroWest Anti-Bullying Coalition, Current Events Club, Diversity Club, “We Wear Red” day to promote women and girls as well as volunteering with Metro West Medical Center.

Abigail Burke was selected as our MassSTAR representative for 2024. She will attend a 3 day leadership conference sponsored by the GFWC. Abby is a leader in the classroom and on the playing field as she is a 3 sport athlete at HHS and an excellent student.

Junior Morgan Prophet received the $250 Junior Endeavor Award. Recipients of this award are selected by the High School Guidance Counseling Office. It celebrates a Junior who has demonstrated resiliency, perseverance, determination and earnest and industrious effort.
