GFWC National Day of Service

On Saturday, September 30th the Hopkinton Women’s Club joined with Women’s Clubs from all 50 states to help shine a focus on food insecurity and providing healthy food. We partnered with Project Just Because to initiate their new project, Making Healthy Food Choices, in their state food pantry which is open to all residents of Massachusetts. The new program will be a visual key to making healthy food choices. It’s particularly important for the large numbers of families with children which are served weekly. Along with labeling each food, signs explaining the new labels were created and displayed in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic.
