Our Mission: To promote social and educational culture among our members and provide service to the community
The Hopkinton Women’s Club was organized in 1920, we were admitted to the Women’s Club State Federation in 1920 and to the Women’s Club General Federation in 1926.
Our primary fund raising project is the compilation, publication and distribution of the annual Hopkinton Community Register and Telephone Directory. We raise money by soliciting advertisers for the Directory. Profits are donated to the community through scholarships and awards at the high school and middle school and to numerous charitable organizations in the community through Project HOPE (Hopkinton Organization for Positive Endeavors)
General Meetings are normally the second Monday of the month from September to June. Meetings are held at the Hopkinton Public Library. Meetings start at 9:30 with a breakfast social, followed by the general meeting from 10 – 11 and a program from 11 – 12. Examples of programs in 2017/2018 include: Introduction to Fengshui, a discussion on socially responsible investing, flower arranging, yoga for all ages, and spring gardening ideas.
The organization is run by the Board of Directors and Committees. Board meetings are normally the first Monday of the month. Committees meet as needed.
Annual membership fees are $30, or $15 if joining between January 1st and March 31st. Link here for information on how to join.
In addition to the monthly general meeting, the Club organizes monthly social events to museums, movies, Garden Club events and other places of interest. Members often enjoy a casual lunch after the event.
